Position Overview:

As a Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in helping enterprise customers unlock the full potential of their data and will be a trusted advisor, guiding customers through their monitoring/data journeys. I am looking for a driven, sharp, and humble professional based within Boston with strong combination of technical expertise and customer-facing presales experience. In this senior-level role, you will deliver technical presentations to a wide range of audiences, from software engineers and DevOps professionals to C-suite executives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with account executives to strategize, prepare, and manage complex technical sales cycles.
  • Deliver engaging presentations and product demos that highlight the value proposition and solutions.
  • Oversee the technical components of the sales process, including discovery, solution sizing, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
  • Develop custom solutions to address customer-specific needs, enhancing the core capabilities of our platform.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the observability market and advise customers on best practices and tailored solutions.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a customer-facing role, such as pre-sales, solutions engineering, or solutions architecture.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage technical integrations and conduct POCs.
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python.
  • Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, log management, and SIEM.
  • A background in Engineering or DevOps is a plus.
  • Experience in technical sales related to log analytics, monitoring, APM, RUM, or SIEM is highly desirable.


Technical Expertise:

  • In-depth knowledge of technologies such as Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
  • Hands-on experience with these technologies and the ability to integrate them into customer environments, providing tailored solutions to meet diverse operational needs.
