Provide support to programs by completing key repetitive components of trading card collections including player research, autograph and memorabilia reservations, data capture and analysis and other activities necessary to successfully produce desirable trading card collections for a diverse customer base. This job requires a passion for trading cards, the trading card industry and a broad knowledge of sports.  An aptitude for accounting/math and calculating ratios is desired. Knowledge of professional and collegiate sports and players a plus.


Responsibilities

  • Research trading card market and gather information to support Panini brands.
  • Input autograph and memorabilia reservations into proprietary planning system.
  • Input player information into proprietary planning system.
  • Prepare various materials for use in products (letters, patches, etc.).
  • Provide support in acquiring memorabilia and autographs for collections.
  • Participate in quality control check for each collection.
  • Assist in pack-outs as assigned. May require some local travel.
  • Occasional travel to events and trade shows may be required.
  • Develop Sales solicitations for products.
  • Liaison with acquisitions team to obtain autograph and memorabilia content for trading cards.
  • Develop internal schedules and cadence around respective university sports programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the trading card industry highly desired and an important part of this position.
  • Must possess math aptitude to calculate volumes, ratios and other mathematical components used in developing card collections and fulfillment requirements.
  • Knowledge of all major American sports teams and leagues, especially football and soccer.
  • Need excellent time management and multi-tasking skills with ability to work on several collections at simultaneously.
  • Must have the ability to work with others in team settings with diverse personalities.
  • Ability to adapt to high-pressure, constantly changing, time sensitive environment.
  • Highly organized and have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate and speak effectively with groups of customers or employees of the company.


Equipment/Software, Education and Experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point, and Internet use. Ability to learn Panini America’s proprietary planning system and other software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management or related field preferred. 
  • Trading card industry and sports industry experience highly desired.


The position is located in Irving, Texas.
