Key Responsibilities:
- 📝 Administer and reconcile payroll for bi-monthly and monthly schedules across designated companies.
- ⏰ Ensure timely execution of payroll, confirming data transmission accuracy to ADP.
- 📊 Generate and review reports for pre and post-payroll processing validation.
- 💼 Manage final pay disbursements following company policies and state laws.
- 💻 Upload expense and transaction data into Workday.
- 🔍 Investigate and respond to internal and external payroll inquiries as needed.
- 📑 Handle complex payroll tasks, including garnishments and local tax calculations.
- 💵 Initiate manual payments and stop payment orders.
- 🛠️ Assess and propose improvements to control processes to maintain high accuracy levels.
- 📚 Document current processes and suggest enhancements.
- 🖥️ Assist in the preparation of various reports, including standard and custom queries and audits, ensuring data accuracy.
- 🚀 Contribute to the design, testing, and implementation of new system features or upgrades.
- 🔍 Aid in payroll-related audits.
- ⚠️ Escalate issues involving unusual or suspicious activities.
- 🤝 Coordinate with Human Resources, Operations, Finance, and management on payroll matters.
- 🎯 Support the department with special projects and analytical tasks.
- 🔄 Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or equivalent experience.
- 📆 Three years of experience in multi-state payroll and tax administration.
- 💼 Experience with Workday payroll systems.
- 📜 Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.
- 💡 Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
