POSITION TITLE: Payroll Analyst

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time

DEPARTMENT: Accounting FLSA STATUS: Exempt

LOCATION: Remote

REPORTS TO: Payroll Manager

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

Think Power Solutions LLC is in search of a skilled Payroll Analyst to enhance our accounting division. This role involves direct reporting to the Payroll Manager and managing bi-weekly payroll through Paylocity software.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Main Duties

  • Preparation and execution of bi-weekly payroll across multiple states.
  • Reconciliation and balancing of payroll data, ensuring accurate transmission to Paylocity.
  • Reviewing payroll outputs to ensure compliance with legal standards and tax obligations.
  • Accurate compilation and timely submission of payroll data to the payroll vendor.
  • Regular collaboration with Human Resources and Accounting to address and resolve payroll-related issues.
  • Development and maintenance of payroll procedures to ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Providing backup support for the Payroll Manager to ensure continuity of payroll operations.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the reconciliation of payroll general ledger accounts and resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Establishing and updating payroll processes and policies as necessary.
  • Participating in training to remain compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in payroll.
  • Proficient in Paylocity with report generation capabilities.
  • CPP certification is preferred but may be substituted with relevant experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel.
  • Comprehensive understanding of federal and state tax laws and wage garnishments.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience with Paylocity processing.
  • Solid computer skills, particularly in Excel.
  • Ability to generate payroll audit reports using Paylocity.
  • Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage projects efficiently.
  • High integrity and a strong sense of individual responsibility.
