Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and timely payroll records, ensuring compliance with FLSA and DOL regulations.
  • Process payroll deductions, mileage, and expense reimbursements in a timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers, providing timely and accurate responses to payroll-related inquiries.
  • Perform audits of payroll records and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Serve as a resource for departmental personnel and payroll staff, providing guidance on complex payroll issues.
  • Process off-cycle payroll, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Process eligible benefits for terminated employees, checking for outstanding balances to be captured on final check.
  • Assist with special projects, such as implementing new systems or processes, to support the overall goals and mission of PHHS.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of data.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Five (5) years of Payroll Processing or related experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including VLOOKUP and Pivot tables.
  • Proven attention to detail, multi-tasking, critical thinking, and time management skills.
