Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team at Parkland Health and Hospital System. As a Payroll Analyst, you will be responsible for processing time and attendance and payroll data for the entire staff population, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of employee payroll while adhering to FLSA & DOL regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Time and Attendance Processing: Maintain time and attendance systems data in a timely manner to ensure proper calculation of employee payroll.
  2. Payroll Data Processing: Process payroll deductions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  3. Payroll Audits: Perform audits of payroll records and reports to ensure proper alignment.
  4. Payroll Support: Serve as a resource for departmental personnel regarding complex time and attendance and payroll issues, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  5. Special Projects: Assist with special projects as assigned, such as the implementation of new systems or processes, to support the overall goals and mission of PHHS.
Requirements
  1. Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
  2. Experience: Must have five (5) years of Payroll Processing or related experience.
  3. Skills: Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of payroll processes, payroll laws and regulations, and personal computers. Must be able to compute basic math quickly and accurately, possess good organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication.
Accountabilities
  1. Process Improvement: Identify ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction, making recommendations to supervisor and implementing changes as appropriate.
  2. Professional Development: Stay abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, and actively participating in professional organizations.
  3. Compliance: Maintain knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws, and guidelines that impact the area, developing effective internal controls to promote adherence.
