Reporting to the Vice President of IT at a premier asset-based specialized heavy haul carrier that provides full service logistical solutions, capable of managing all aspects of project transportation, inclusive of all modes of transport. With $ 180 million in revenue the company has 400 employees, 500 tractors & 1500 trailers operating throughout North America.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing existing house accounts and actively seeking new business opportunities within the heavy haul trucking industry. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, a proactive sales approach, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. You will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base. Key responsibilities: Account Management - Manage and nurture relationships with assigned house accounts to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries, orders, and service-related issues. Conduct regular follow-ups with existing clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling services. New Business Development - Identify and target potential customers within the heavy haul trucking industry through research, cold calling, and networking. Develop and execute strategies to generate new leads and convert prospects into clients. Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to prospective customers. Sales Process Management - Maintain a well-organized sales pipeline and document all customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system. Prepare and present regular sales reports to the Sales Manager, outlining performance metrics and key achievements. Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop and implement sales strategies and goals. Customer Service - Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client needs promptly and effectively. Coordinate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of customer orders. Resolve any customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner. Market Analysis - Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify new business opportunities. Provide feedback to the Sales Manager on market conditions and customer preferences to aid in the development of sales strategies.


Background Required:

  • Trucking, logistics, or transportation industry Inside Sales experience (minimum 2 yrs)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Effective selling techniques via phone and electronic communication
  • Customer relationship development ability
  • Sales, negotiation, and customer service skills
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite
  • Education: High School Diploma
  • Location: Fort Worth, TX

Background Preferred (but not required):

  • Strong geographical knowledge (of competition, shippers/receivers, economic trends)
  • Container / Drayage Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree
