Energy Specialist – Opportunity to Lead in Clean Energy Transition

Location: Austin, TX

Position Type: Full-Time/Hybrid


Our client is embarking on an exciting journey to hire its first Energy Specialist. This role is designed for someone passionate about guiding homeowners through the clean energy transition by advising on and implementing battery storage solutions. You'll play a crucial role in helping customers manage their energy consumption and reduce their environmental footprint through innovative solar and battery technologies.


Role Overview:

As an Energy Specialist, you will:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to homeowners, guiding them through the selection, onboarding, and installation of solar and battery systems.
  • Educate and assist customers in optimizing their energy usage post-installation.
  • Lead with honesty and empathy, addressing customer concerns about the complexities and costs of battery systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide seamless guidance through the sales and onboarding process, acting as a customer concierge.
  • Learn about Distributed Energy Resources and aim to become a subject matter expert in grid-tied battery systems.
  • Wear the consultant's hat, taking charge of customer needs and finding solutions to their challenges.
  • Maintain meticulous records of customer interactions to ensure accurate pricing and actionable installation plans.
  • Utilize CRM tools to manage customer relationships and ensure continuity in service.
  • Deliver feedback to marketing and product teams to help refine customer offerings and enhance user experience.


Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in consulting, customer success, account management, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent)
  • Strong communication, writing, and information-gathering skills.
  • Comfort with numbers and the ability to quickly learn new technology.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in all project documentation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, continually striving to deliver superior customer service.
  • Motivation to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Skill in explaining complex technical issues in a straightforward and friendly manner.
