Position Overview

  • Verifying traded volumes and managing nominations for gas within pipeline and utility frameworks.
  • Assisting traders by promptly addressing information inquiries and actively observing operational limitations.
  • Effectively and proactively engaging with counterparties, clients, and representatives to build strong relationships and foster goodwill.
  • Mapping gas flows and balancing volumes in the Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) system, ensuring precise invoicing and profit and loss (P&L) distributions.
  • Overseeing portfolio P&Ls, including rate determination, asset optimization, trading positions, and risk assessment.
  • Reviewing and authorizing pipeline transportation invoices.
  • Investigating discrepancies in invoices and providing assistance to the Accounting Team.
  • Identifying and assessing opportunities for value addition, such as market expansion, new market entry, and innovative product offerings.
  • Supporting the management of a power portfolio through forecasting, regulatory compliance, and P&L analysis.

This role requires participation in an on-call weekend rotation (approximately six times annually) and may involve occasional nights and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, economics, logistics, or business.
  • Proficient in Excel, with knowledge of pivot tables and advanced functions.
  • Ability to maintain composure in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
  • Self-motivated and ambitious, demonstrating initiative and a strong sense of ownership in all tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, capable of deconstructing complex projects into manageable tasks through exceptional analytical and logical reasoning.
  • A growth-oriented mindset, eager to learn and fully understand processes while asking insightful questions.
  • Detail-oriented, committed to producing high-quality work and sharing findings with others.
