Hyperice is looking to hire Corporate Counsel to work from the Irvine, CA office. Reporting to our General Counsel, the individual will be responsible for assisting with the Company’s contract activities. In addition, this individual will be responsible for assisting with litigation and brand enforcement efforts, conducting legal research and providing legal advice as requested.
- Prepare, review and negotiate various domestic and global agreements.
- Partner with the sales, accounting and compliance teams to enforce the contracts.
- Interact, both verbally and in writing, with external parties to clarify any legal issues, determine the best recourse and escalate issues as required.
- Assist with the continued development and execution of the Company’s brand compliance strategy, including trademark and patent enforcement.
- Assist in various litigation matters as needed from time to time.
- Provide support and strategic advice to other functions in the legal department and to internal clients.
Requirements
- Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school and a member of the bar in good standing.
- 2+ years of experience in relevant law practice gained through experience at a law firm and/or an in-house position.
- Experience in commercial contracts required.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment, to adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent.
- High attention to detail.
- Solutions oriented.
