Role: Estate Planning Counsel

Department: Estate Planning

We are in search of a skilled and driven associate attorney to become a vital part of our team, focusing on the creation of essential estate planning documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertly draft tailored foundational estate planning documents
  • Consult with clients to advise on the optimal design and structure of revocable living trusts
  • Conduct research on estate planning and related tax matters
  • Assess and update template documents, correspondence, and procedures

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in estate planning
  • At least 3 years of experience in trusts and estates within a mid- to large-sized law firm is preferred
  • An LLM or a strong foundation in tax law is advantageous
  • J.D. from an accredited law school; must be a member in good standing of the California Bar
  • Exceptional drafting abilities and meticulous attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of estate and gift tax regulations
  • Familiarity with corporate issues affecting closely held businesses is beneficial
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Capacity to adapt and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Commitment to professionalism and adaptability to various project types

Compensation:

  • Salary commensurate with experience and billing rates
  • This position is eligible for bonuses
