Position Responsibilities:
- Monitors emergent offload/overload suppliers including processors, philanthropic, machine shop and sheet metal shop to ensure schedule compliance and product conformity.
- Identifies, establishes and maintains priorities for deliveries of products, services and data that support necessary supplier contractual corrective actions and resolution of issues (e.g., poor schedule performance, product and producibility issues) to ensure contractual compliance.
- Communicates across functions (e.g., procurement agents, suppliers, internal customers, field quality, engineering, manufacturing) to report status and concerns.
- Co-facilitates with the supplier the development of a recovery plan and unplanned demand requirements. Identifies needs for training on business and manufacturing practices (e.g., requirements interpretation and clarification, contractual compliance, scheduling tools, technical skills, self assessment) to supplier personnel for improvement or enhancement delivery performance.
- Participates with the procurement agent in on-site supplier assessments (e.g., Preferred Supplier Certification, Proof of Process and Rate Readiness) to identify supplier capacity and capability to perform current and projected work statement and support Boeing procurement strategy.
- Monitors suppliers' performance-to-plan to ensure compliance to contractual requirements and provides status back to supervisor and procurement agent.
- Identifies and communicates opportunities to implement new processes or improves existing processes and reports back to management and make recommendation to procurement agent.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
- 5+ years of Procurement / Supply Chain experience
- Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
- Interior Aircraft Knowledge
- 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- 5+ years of experience working with internal and external suppliers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience in aircraft maintenance or manufacturing
- Team Leadership (Formal/Informal) experience
- Associates degree or higher
