Your Role 🎉

As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of Emperia. You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying leads, pitching our products or services to prospects both within enterprise and SMB segments, and fostering strong relationships to accelerate sales cycles. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work closely with our leadership team and account executives, gain valuable experience in the tech sales, and be part of a high-growth startup journey. 


Responsibilities | What You Will Be Doing 💡

  • Prospect and qualify potential customers through targeted outreach via email, phone and social media.
  • Conduct thorough research to understand the needs and pain points of prospective customers.
  • Work with an Account Executive to deliver compelling pitches and presentations that effectively communicate the value proposition of our products or services.
  • Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to refine strategies and optimize lead generation efforts.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and track activities using CRM software.
  • Participate in networking events, trade shows, and other business development activities.


Requirements 🛠️:

  • 1-3 years of experience in a business development, sales, or similar role, preferably within a technology startup environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Strong ambition to progress within the company.
  • Understanding of usage-based and SaaS business models, as well as proficiency in Hubspot and other sales tools is a plus.


This position is a hybrid remote/in-office, with 2 days per week in-person at our office in New York City.
