  • 💵 Initiate manual checks and stop payment orders.
  • 📈 Assist with tracking payroll metrics and other logs.
  • 🔒 Monitor legal and policy changes, conduct periodic payroll self-audits, and maintain data security and confidentiality.
  • 👥 Assist in training the payroll team.
  • 🛠️ Review, analyze, and propose new control processes to ensure high accuracy levels.
  • 📚 Document current processes and suggest enhancements.
  • 🖥️ Assist in preparing various reports, including standard and custom queries and audits, ensuring data integrity.
  • 📝 Prepare federal, state, and local tax reconciliations after each payroll.
  • 🧾 Back up to assist with reconciliation and review of all tax forms 940, 941, and non-supported returns.
  • 🚀 Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of new system features or upgrades.
  • 🔍 Aid in payroll-related audits.
  • ⚠️ Escalate issues involving unusual or suspicious activities.
  • 🤝 Coordinate with Human Resources, Operations, Finance, and management on payroll matters.
  • 🎯 Support the department with special projects and analytical tasks.
  • 🔄 Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 🎓 Bachelor’s degree in business.
  • 📆 Five years of experience in multi-state payroll and tax administration.
  • 💼 Five years of experience with Workday payroll systems.
  • 📜 Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is preferred.
