Payroll Benefits Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Benefits/Payroll Specialist to join our client's Human Resources team in Jacksonville, FL. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy of payroll processing, managing benefits administration, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Payroll Processing: Accurately prepare and process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Benefits Administration: Oversee enrollment, changes, and terminations in health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans. Respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with all payroll and benefits regulations, including ACA, FLSA, and COBRA requirements.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation related to payroll, benefits, and employee files.
- Reporting: Generate payroll and benefits-related reports for management and external audits.
- Employee Support: Serve as a resource for employees, addressing questions and resolving issues related to payroll and benefits promptly.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll and benefits operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, or similar platforms).
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits laws and regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
