Ampcera is seeking a qualified Materials Technician for its Production facility in Tucson AZ.


Responsibilities

Support the Material Production and Material R&D teams at Ampcera.

Materials processing and characterization.

Routine equipment maintenance and equipment repair.

Conduct supply inventories and place orders when needed.

Carry out equipment and facility cleaning.


Requirements

B.S. or B.A. Degree in Materials Science, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a STEM-related field.

Capable of executing multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment.

Meticulous, organized, and self-motivated.

Clear communication skills.

Fluent in English

Acute safety awareness.

Efficient in time management and independent work environments.

Capable of working hands-on in equipment installation and repair.

Pass drug test and criminal background check.


Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in material production or R&D facilities.

Experience in electrical motor/mechanical pump operations and repair.

HAZWOPER certified in the State of Arizona.

Experience in working around and inside gloveboxes.


Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Capable of lifting 50 lbs. with assistance from lift equipment or cart.

Wear personal protective equipment including, but not limited to lab coats, steel-toed boots, gloves, safety glasses, masks, respirators, ear plugs, hard hats, etc.
