About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Management Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Materials and Process Engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing material documentation, compliance, obsolescence, and shelf life management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain material and process specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage RMD and supplier test instructions to ensure accurate and timely delivery of materials.
  • Track and manage material obsolescence to minimize disruptions to our operations.
  • Review and approve material shelf life to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain organizations to resolve issues related to material procurement and ensure the use of compliant materials.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or 9+ years of experience in absence of a degree.
  • Experience in using material safety datasheets and technical datasheets.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in engineering technical writing and specifications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and set high-quality standards.
  • Expert-level written and verbal communication skills, with strong social skills and ability to build relationships.

  • A competitive salary range of $77,000 - $163,000, depending on experience.
