Materials Management Engineer

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Management Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Materials and Process Engineering organization, you will be responsible for managing material documentation, compliance, obsolescence, and shelf life management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain material and process specifications to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage material obsolescence tracking and shelf life management to minimize disruptions to our operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain, to resolve issues related to material procurement and compliance.
- Utilize technical documentation and data to inform decision-making and drive process improvements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with material safety datasheets, technical datasheets, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in engineering technical writing and specifications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
