Responsibilities

Identify North American Product Needs:

  • Develop and monitor broad understanding of the competition to support NA positioning and counter strategies.
  • Manage the continuous research process to capture voice of the customer, industry trends, competitive intelligence, and technical advances.
  • Works with business unit manager to propose data driven product improvements or new product development to drive incremental sales and profit.

Own North American Product Line:

  • Broad range of activities that include creating the roadmap of the product line, new product development, mature product promotion, and maintenance of assigned product line.
  • Work with dedicated engineering team as a marketing/business stakeholder throughout the new product development process.
  • Lead the product pricing and assists in customer contract development & price negotiations.
  • Analyze and evaluate product performance using various data analytics tools and scorecard metrics, then implement improvements where necessary to include integrating production and customer feedback into product development.
  • Develop strong relationship networks and communication channels across internal departments and national/international vendors.

Manage Marketing

  • Assist global partners, business unit manager, and stakeholders in creating launch strategies and commercially implementing with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team and Marketing to communicate the value proposition of our products in literature, digital advertising, product promotions, and other marketing collateral.
  • Provide support to sales channels, commercial team, and customers through applicable communication lanes to inform and grow sales.

Oversee E-Commerce and Social Media

  • Oversee greenfield online store, website and application experience development and analyze design element impacts to grow product success.
  • Implement user and sales feedback to improve customer development and market presence.
  • Design and execute traditional media and nontraditional marketing through social media campaigns or 3rd party application integration.


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, marketing or related field and 12+ years of relevant experience desired. Bachelor’s degree and 16+ years of relevant experience or Associate degree in the same fields with 20+ years of relevant experience. Equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered.
  • Understanding of machining and manufacturing practices, procedures, products preferred.
  • Manufactured products Product Management experienced preferred.
  • Ability to grasp technical details.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects from inception to completion.
  • Demonstrate a strong business acumen or the desire to learn relatively quickly.
  • Able to analyze data and identify factors to select methods and techniques for obtaining solutions at all levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team on tactical projects across multiple areas of the organization.
  • Fluent in all Microsoft Office applications, SAP, and MRP or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time to include ability to travel overseas.
