The Director of IT Procurement (Procure-to-Pay) will play a crucial role in establishing, developing, and leading the IT procurement function within our organization. This role involves building out the procurement processes and systems from the ground up, with a focus on optimizing the procure-to-pay (P2P) cycle. The successful candidate will drive the strategic and operational aspects of IT procurement, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the company's technology and financial goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership and Development:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive IT procurement strategy that aligns with the company's overall objectives.
  • Create and build out the IT procurement function, including processes, systems, and team structure, to support the company's growth and needs.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define procurement priorities and align strategies with broader organizational goals.

Procurement Management:

  • Establish and oversee the end-to-end IT procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, negotiation, contracting, and payment.
  • Identify and implement best practices in procurement to streamline the P2P process and enhance efficiency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate and manage contracts to ensure optimal terms and mitigate risks.
  • Evaluate and monitor vendor performance, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Develop and enforce standards for vendor selection and performance evaluation.

Process Optimization and System Development:

  • Design and implement effective P2P processes and systems tailored to the company's specific needs.
  • Work closely with IT, finance, and other departments to ensure the successful integration and execution of procurement processes.
  • Utilize technology and data analytics to drive efficiencies, enhance procurement performance, and provide actionable insights.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure that all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to manage risk and ensure transparency and accountability.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT procurement, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing procurement and P2P processes.
  • Proven experience in creating and building out procurement functions, including processes, systems, and team structures.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and vendor relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency with procurement software and systems (e.g., ERP systems, eProcurement tools).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior executives.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements, manage change, and develop new capabilities.
