Job Summary
The Portfolio Administrator is responsible for the setup and maintenance of client accounts, completion of client, custodian, and firm paperwork, and review and maintenance of client transactions. This role also involves executing client and firm tasks such as asset transfers, report preparation, and general support of portfolio and investment strategies. This position serves as a pathway to further your career in the financial industry, whether your goal is to become a Wealth Advisor or an Analyst.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Portfolio Administrator can expect to focus in the following areas:
- Daily maintenance, recordkeeping, and reconciliation of portfolio transactions
- Monthly checklists including compliance and operations tasks essential to firm operations
- Set up new client and additional client accounts.
- Assist client in completing firm and custodian paperwork as needed
- Compile account paperwork for client meetings and reviews
- Execute asset transfers efficiently
- Provide support to the investment team as needed
- Manage billing and accounts receivable
- Assist with Regulatory Filings and audits
Qualifications
The Portfolio Administrator position typically requires the following qualifications:
- At least 1 years' experience in the financial services industry
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM software
- Familiarity with Schwab and Fidelity platforms
- Strong analytical skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, able to multitask
- Client first attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Team player, collaborative, able to work with and through others
- Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
Salary and Benefits
Pay/benefits are competitive based on industry standards.
- Salary will be based on experience $50-$70k
- Bonus – up to 12% of salary depending on performance
- Benefits include 100% premium coverage for employees who are active and participate on the company health plan, 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions, HSA with annual employer contribution as well as dental, vision, and disability through Ironwood’s payroll company, and paid parental leave
- Paid time off and 11 paid holidays
