Research And Development Engineer

Maple Grove, United States Redbock - an NES Fircroft company Full time

A large Medical Device client is in need of up to four R&D Engineers for a 12-month assignment onsite in the Minneapolis area. There is a likely opportunity for extension based on performance. This engineer will be working on R&D sustaining activities, and should be at an Engineer 2 or 3 level. Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams is essential.

A minimum of 3 days/week onsite is required. 4 or 5 days/week onsite is preferred.

Top Requirements:

  • BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
  • 3-5 years of Medical Device industry experience
  • Experience with class II and class III devices
  • Cardiovascular device experience is preferred
  • Must demonstrate strong experience with sustaining R&D activities (i.e. running MDR vigilance, material obsolescence, vendor qualifications, etc)
  • Experience in design, development, test, and engineering documentation
  • Solid experimental design and statistical analysis knowledge
  • Strong skill set in operational line continuity, submissions, design file remediations, etc.
  • Ability to operate independently with little to no guidance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Windchill is preferred
