About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software and distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop large-scale systems that can handle terabytes of data per day
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features and requirements
  • Develop and maintain high-quality, reliable, and efficient software components
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Work closely with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects

Requirements
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Experience with load balancing technologies like NGINX and HTTProxy
  • Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure software or distributed systems
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience mentoring junior software development engineers
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
