Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing our market share and customer base by generating new orders for our products, systems, and services. This is a remote position with a territory covering primarily the northeastern United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and approach new potential strategic customers to deliver relevant value propositions
  • Foster client relationships with existing accounts through proactive and responsive communications to further growth
  • Initiate contact with key individuals within target end-user organizations to define their needs, provide technical solutions, and develop project scope and timing
  • Manage key accounts to ensure achievement of sales objectives
  • Develop and implement a strategy for sales prospecting in the territory to create a pipeline of prospective customers for lead generation of new accounts
  • Generate leads from various resources such as the internet, trade publications, trade shows, etc. and follow-up on all leads
  • Sell value, execute a disciplined sales process, and close on profitable business
  • Drive CRM (SalesForce) utilization for account management, pipeline management, and all sales reporting features
  • Support customers with test engineering needs: demonstrate, sell test fixtures and automated test systems (custom hardware and software solutions)
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and forecasts as defined by leadership
  • Develop knowledge of competitive products, identify emerging markets, create strategy for competing, and keep Marketing and management abreast of all competitive activity and market development in the territory
  • Keep current on all CCI products from a technical, applications, pricing, and selling benefits standpoint
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a preference for Electrical or Mechanical
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with a technology sales
  • Prior experience in sales of mid-range electronic hardware and capital equipment a plus
  • Must have demonstrated a "hunter" mentality to grow sales
