Badlands Tank Lines is seeking an exceptionally talented and self-motivated Payroll Specialist to join a fast-paced working environment at our La Vista location. This role will be responsible for all aspects of payroll administration to support management in multiple states on a bi-weekly payroll schedule. This includes, but is not limited to, data entry of new hires, terminations, employee updates, calculating wage garnishments, preparing checks, and working directly with senior accounting associates.


To be successful in this role, candidates must be extremely organized with the ability to meet crucial task deadlines in an efficient manner. Additional duties may be added to this position as needed.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll and confirm the accuracy of final payroll results.
  • Ensure all final payments are made in accordance with termination laws and manual payments are processed as needed.
  • Processes garnishment orders, withholding orders or levels including facilitating payments to agencies.
  • Work with ADP to identify, resolve, and test payroll issues.
  • Run and review payroll reports on a routine basis.
  • Internal audits and review of all payroll system information.
  • Manage all new, change, and terminated employee information from ADP as needed.
  • Maintains files for all documents processed.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred.
  • Two or more years of previous payroll experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of current ADP, Excel, Word, and Outlook applications.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background check.
  • Current driver’s license and reliable form of transportation required.
