We are searching for a Business Development Representative for Controlled Motion Solutions (DC motors, controllers, and actuators). By growing sales, this position plays a critical role in the successful execution of the Company’s strategy as well as its day-to-day operations. The Business Development Representative is driven and motivated to exceed sales goals while carrying influence in an expanding organization.

The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to research, cultivate and build lasting relationships with Magneto Movement customers; translate customer technical needs into engineering and operational requirements; craft solutions, proposals and contracts; serve as the customer primary point-of-contact within Magneto Movement; and help customers realize the greatest possible ROI from controlled motion solutions (DC motors, controllers, and actuators).


Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, accurate forecasting, and rigorous account planning.
  • Effectively manage and drive the sales cycle in acquiring new customers and gaining more SOW from existing customers.
  • Collect and assess customer feedback to provide the development team with current and future product needs for electro-mechanical systems, improving sales potential.
  • Cultivate potential sales opportunities with both existing and potential customers; develop a deep understanding of their business, market, products, and industry; and develop lasting customer relationship.
  • Work with customers to determine their technical needs; translate those needs into engineering and/or operations specifications; create and present product proposals and quotations.
  • Uphold technical expertise on the products and services Magneto Movement offers to aid in all job responsibilities, including representing the company at trade shows and promoting our brands and products.


Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience selling in commercial and industrial B2B market.
  • Associate’s degree required. Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven sales history with success in the entire sales process (lead generation through closing).
  • Sharp negotiation and networking skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal communication.
  • Strong knowledge of business and sales growth techniques.
  • Must be able to travel to customer locations, both US and international, as necessary – up to 75% of the time.
