SUMMARY

Key Account Managers are essential to Rayconnect’s strategy to manage the challenge of rationalization and product life cycle reduction and to maintain AR Group competitiveness in a globalized automotive market.


EXPECTATIONS

Develop new business and manages the customer relationship for Rayconnect in line to support our business growth strategy This position will work closely with our existing Rayconnect Business Development teams by representing the Company’s products and capabilities to the customer in a professional manner while simultaneously developing new business opportunity with new products. Coordinates and manages customer requirements and activities within the organization by acting as a customer representative within Rayconnect such as purchasing, marketing, engineering, quality, and finance... This position will have a heavy technical mindset and professional framework for meeting business growth goals with multiple customer and OEMs and help advanced product development with a focus on automotive markets. Actively Visit Customers with face-to-face interaction as well as represent at trade show activities.

The purpose of the KAM will be to establish and grow the business opportunities:


  • Ensuring that Rayconnect is at the forefront of customers’ mind when a fluid handling solution is needed by active customer visits and correspondences as required with minimal supervision for outside sales roles.
  • Drive the ARaymond/Rayconnect business development strategy with the OEMs and Tier customers in North America by implementing a focus on sales and marketing tactics according to the Raymotion strategy.
  • Develop and maintain key strategic accounts plans that will allow the organization to monitor the long-term development trends with customers as well as competitors.
  • Seek new product developments and projects particularly in Automotive.
  • Understand and support what requirements are needed by the OEM while providing technical assembly solutions with ARaymond Fluid Handling products.
  • This position will work closely with the OEM KAMs, Tier KAMs, AMs, and Sales Managers with a technical mindset for business growth and experience with OEMs on advanced product development. Ensure a close and open working relationship with all relevant ARaymond disciplines.


Under minimum supervision, the Key Account Manager assumes responsibility for product line sales management and commercial account management, and marketing needs. Renders significant technical advice on product applications, modifications, and new developments to address specific customer issues. Assess the market by identifying prospects and their needs at the OEMs. Coordinates and manages the customer commercial and development requirements while acting as the customer representative within the organization. This position will requires extensive knowledge and understanding of the organization’s products, services, and policies.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualify the opportunities: Identify the right opportunity and propose value-added solutions based on the ARaymond Fluid Handling product portfolio, competencies, and strategies with the right product at the right strategy/
  • Develop and maintain active direct relationship with the customers and coordinate with other tiers direct and indirect customers.
  • Visit customer on a regular basis and supporting the sales development and application engineering in developing specific sales strategies for customers, projects, and parts.
  • Develop revenues and achieve agreed targets in Business Development Team
  • sales & gross margin targets
  • standard products carry over, new product development targets.
  • Develop, promote the AR Network, manage a Key Account Plan, and prepare sales reports/statistics as well as customer visit reports in timely manner.
  • Work closely with Rayconnect management to implement a prospecting strategy to achieve penetration into areas currently untapped
  • Prepare market data reports (trends, competition, customers, suppliers)
  • Drive new business sales and win new customer applications
  • Take responsibility for sales forecasting and yearly budget definition
  • Assist in the implementation of sales promotion activities (presentations/demonstrations, in-house or external training)
  • Work with the AR Group local sales network and with the customer global support organization to develop appropriate business strategies and establish relationships with all key influencers or decision-makers at the T1s and OEM’s level especially
  • Coordinate in-house resources and infrastructure to ensure a seamless delivery of products and services essential to the customer to ensure their satisfaction
  • This individual has access to confidential and proprietary engineering, manufacturing, cost, and financial information. The disclosure of such information could result in a loss of the organization’s competitive edge in the marketplace. The individual will sign a confidentiality/non-compete agreement.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 4-year university or college degree in business, engineering, or related business or technical discipline
  • Fluent in English.
  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5 to10 years' experience in Senior Sales with highly engineered products, preferably fluid connections, and the willingness to acquire and develop technical knowledge within the fluid handling product category
  • Bilingual in French, German, or other foreign languages highly desired.
  • 3-4 years' experience in a similar position at the international or multisite level is a plus.
  • Excellent communication in written, oral, and presentations with technical experience directly working with customers direct and indirect
  • Long term relationship builder on a business level with a proven record of accomplishment of steadily increasing sales year after year
  • Be responsible for managing multi-customers and projects with good organization skills and time management.
  • Dynamic, self-driven professional, motivated, and well-organized is key
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and diplomatic negotiator
  • Strong, confidence-inspiring personality with the ability to motivate people.

  • Ability to work under time pressure. Utilizes suitable time management with the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of SAP CRM, Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams).
  • Working knowledge and utilization of Lean Enterprise, Direct Attention Thinking Tools, and Six Sigma principles.
  • Training in negotiation skills, technical and verbal, and written presentations.
  • Must operate an automobile responsibly and ethically.
  • Must manage all financial functions in a responsible and ethical manner
