Job Description

The Employee Relations Specialist plays a key role in supporting the company’s employee relations and engagement initiatives. This position involves a mix of data entry, metrics analysis, and assistance with internal investigations. It is ideal for candidates with a generalist background in Human Resources, seeking to develop their careers in a professional and dynamic environment. The role requires minimal travel and operates locations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations Support: Assist the Employee Relations and Recruitment Manager with employee relations issues, inquiries, and internal investigations by preparing documentation and maintaining records.
  • HRIS Management: Monitor signed hire letters and onboard new hires into the HRIS system, ensuring complete confidentiality.
  • Onboarding & Orientation: Enhance the experience of new hires through effective onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Policy Guidance: Provide guidance and support to managers on company policies, best practices, and labor laws.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct employee exit interviews and analyze data to help develop and implement retention strategies.
  • Talent Tracking: Maintain analytical tools and employee surveys to track talent data, and use insights to support employee engagement efforts.
  • Performance Coaching: Assist managers through the corrective action and performance review processes.
  • Policy Management: Maintain and recommend corporate policies to enhance compliance and employee well-being.
  • Total Rewards Support: Support the administration of non-traditional benefits programs, including tuition and loan reimbursement.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience: Up to 3 years of work experience in a Human Resources role, preferably with HR Generalist responsibilities.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and experience with HRIS systems for data collection and analysis.
  • Communication: Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrated ability to maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Project Management: Ability to independently manage projects from planning through execution.
