The Senior FP&A Analyst supports the development and achievement of the organization's goals and objectives by providing accurate, relevant and timely information to senior management that is based upon thorough review and analysis of company, competitor and industry-wide data. The Senior FP&A Analyst will provide financial consulting and strategic support to senior management including identifying, researching and analyzing critical business drivers and opportunities which include; revenue drivers, working capital (cash flow analysis and management), capital project planning & analysis, financial and non-financial business performance metrics across multiple operating companies.

 

Position Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Collaboration:

o  Partner with Operations to drive results and efficiencies in project performance

o  Partner with functional department leads to drive results and efficiencies in overhead spend

o  Partner with Business Units to impact Business Development decision making

Reporting & Analytics

o  Work closely with the Director of FP&A, Controller and Director of Project Accounting to coordinate the delivery of financial data

o  Deliver dynamic, forward-thinking analysis that leads to actions

o  Compile and provide analysis toward all planning, forecasting and strategic planning activities

o  Provide analysis of monthly financial results including the interpretation of current month performance information as a predictive tool for attainment of full year performance expectations

o  Maintain effective financial and operational metric system to provide management with concise information regarding real-time company performance.

o  Support CFO and Director of FP&A in preparation of presentations to Board of Directors and external stakeholders

Budgeting & Forecasting

o  Compile performance metrics, management reporting, annual budgets, interim forecasts and financial analyses for the company

o  Drive the planning and forecasting processes based on a strong operational understanding of the business

o  Manage forecast and budget information in ERP including report writing activities to assist senior management in effective utilization and navigation of the system

o  Develop an updated forecast with Business Units with detailed focus on revenue and expense projections for the balance of the year

o  Develop ad-hoc forecasts for different business scenarios

Financial Systems

o  Identify and participate in the implementation of enhancements to reporting systems and processes

o  Leverage existing analytical tools to standardize business unit reporting.

o  Identify and implement opportunities for unified systems, processes, dashboards and metrics that enhance decision support within the company.

·      Ability to explain complex concepts and financial models

·      Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects and internal customers


Experience/Education Requirements:

·      7+ years financial planning & analysis experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Consulting industry

·      Bachelors degree in finance or accounting, required; MBA a plus

·      ERP experience, Deltek or NetSuite preferred

·      Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including advanced formulas in Excel

·      Experience with business intelligence systems required; Power BI preferred
