What Financial Planning & Analysis Delivers at Cardinal Health

The Finance department is responsible for overseeing the organization's accounting, taxation, financial strategies, and policies. It establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, and safeguards the organization's assets.

Financial Planning & Analysis serves as a strategic partner, providing objective guidance to various business units. This team leads cross-functional initiatives to deliver forward-looking, actionable insights that drive strategic value and influence critical business decisions.

Position Overview

+ Reports directly to the Manager of FP&A within the Pharma segment, ensuring high visibility and collaboration with the Segment FP&A and Pharma Finance teams.

+ Collaborates closely with the Pharma Leadership team and Cost Center managers across the Pharma segment.

+ Offers financial support for the reporting of USPD Commercial and Pharma Functional SG&A and Capital reporting, including the development of new business cases to facilitate strategic investments and initiatives.

+ Provides financial assistance for PD Marketing services within the Pharma segment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Assists in key planning and reporting processes, including monthly results reviews, forecasts, SFP, AOP, and earnings reports.

+ Develops and maintains real-time updates on performance metrics, implications, and recommended actions.

+ Aids in the preparation of materials for senior leadership, including financial analysis and commentary for the CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors.

+ Adopts a process improvement mindset to enhance efficiencies across various work areas.

+ Acts as an objective financial steward with a comprehensive perspective, ensuring robust controls are in place to protect the company's assets and intellectual property.

Qualifications

+ A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role is preferred.

+ At least 2 years in FP&A roles, ideally in a leadership capacity within a large, complex organization.

+ A Bachelor's degree is required; an MBA is strongly preferred.

+ Experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.

+ Ability to distill insights from complex analyses and create concise, compelling presentations for senior leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated salary range: $78,500 - $112,100. Bonus eligibility: No.
