Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the VP Controller and the organization to develop and deliver insightful financial analytics that support essential business strategies and informed decision-making. This position is tasked with ensuring adherence to finance-related policies, procedures, controls, and regulations, including tax compliance and financial reporting. The Financial Analyst will provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership, utilizing data-driven analysis to influence business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct financial management activities, including generating financial reports, analyzing trends, and evaluating departmental performance against established plans and forecasts.
  • Guarantee compliance with federal and state tax regulations for both direct and indirect tax reporting.
  • Assist in the formulation, execution, and assessment of accounting policies and SOX controls.
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations while ensuring adherence to accounting policies and financial reporting standards.
  • Investigate technical accounting issues in collaboration with the VP Controller.
  • Contribute to projects aimed at enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and manage project plans and budgets, tracking actual expenditures to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives based on comprehensive financial analysis.
Qualifications:
  • At least 5 years of experience in Finance and Accounting or a related field is essential, preferably within the medical devices or technology sector.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is required.
  • Advanced degrees or certifications such as an MBA, CPA, or CMA are highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations is advantageous.
  • Experience in rapidly growing organizations or start-ups is preferred.
  • Proficiency in valuation and financial analysis is desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills to utilize detailed financial data and identify performance trends are necessary.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional environment and garner support across various organizational levels is required.
  • Capability to develop analytics that facilitate rapid, data-informed decision-making, even with incomplete information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced Excel (including Pivot Tables, Formulas, XLOOKUP functions) and Power BI, is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the USA is mandatory.
