Senior Account Manager – Target Private Label

As our business continues to grow, we are in search of passionate and talented candidates to join our Account Management team.


We are looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our Target team, as a senior-level hybrid role of sales and product development. The Senior Account Manager will be a collaborative, detail-oriented professional who is highly organized, efficient, and driven to succeed. The ideal candidate has a creative background with a strong knowledge of the housewares industry with both sales and product development/sourcing experience. The Senior Account Manager will be able to manage a team of highly motivated individuals, prioritize and delegate workload effectively, as well as drive sales with our key account.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Manage a team of 3+ Account managers and coordinator, as well as lead CFT collaborations
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client and supplier relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements with suppliers to maximize profits, both domestically and internationally
  • Manage the audit/inspection and testing processes with the international team
  • Maximize sales profitability, growth and account penetration with current accounts
  • Analyze the market to identify trends and take advantage of opportunities
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Work with our suppliers to meet product requirements provided by customer; including design specs, material review, packaging requests, and costing
  • Managing communications between our key client and internal teams
  • Forecast and track key account metrics


Experience and Qualities:

  • Target Experience required
  • 3+ years of experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Manager and Product Development/Sourcing Manager
  • Experience and understanding of the housewares industry
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or relevant field
  • Must be able to work in an entrepreneurial environment and be a self-starter
  • Solid experience with MS Office (particularly MS Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Strong Project Management Skills
  • Must be a team player with a positive outlook
