Leading international law firm seeks a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage global payroll for approximately 1,400 employees. This role involves close collaboration with HR, Benefits, Compensation, Accounting, attorneys, and staff in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and verify electronic time sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labor laws.
  • Reconcile taxation expenses and manage payroll payments, including audits.
  • Coordinate with international offices for payroll preparation and multi-currency postings.
  • Prepare taxable benefits and manage mandated leave programs.
  • Handle new hire reporting, social security verification, and payroll processing for new hires and terminations.
  • Develop and deliver training materials, assist with HRIS updates, and support month-end close and reconciliations.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of payroll processes and suggest improvements.
  • Administer annual payroll close processes and prepare various reports.

Qualifications:

  • Payroll certification is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of six years of payroll processing experience in a complex environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word; experience with cloud-based HR/Payroll systems and report writing.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll reconciliation.
