Payroll Administrator

Kanta Electric Corp. (“KEC”) is seeking a Payroll Administrator to support Senior Management and associated personnel out of its Woodside, NY offices.

We are considering local applicants who have strong attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, and meet strict project deadlines. The individual will report to Senior Management. This position is NOT remote.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Minimum of 7-10+ years of experience in electrical construction payroll administration management. Only candidates with electrical construction payroll management for NYC, NYS, and Federal Government public works projects experience will be considered.
  • Required: Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects at once, able to learn quickly, proactive self-starter
  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Knowledgeable about general bookkeeping concepts and experience working with accounting software (i.e. Foundation, Sage, Quickbooks Enterprise, AccountingEase, etc.)
  • Experience managing Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
  • Strong organizational skills & ability to implement standard office procedures/practices.

  • Financial Analysis, accounting reconciliations, general ledger accounting
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, amiable and bright/dynamic personality with the ability to effectively interact with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Able to communicate politely and professionally via phone, e-mail, and other forms of internal/external communication.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Valid Notary Public a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and weekly payroll management.
  • Carry out administrative duties such as answering phones/notation of messages, greeting guests, filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
  • Prepare corporate communications, such as memos, emails, announcements,
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for multiple users.
  • Consistently follow up to ensure open items are closed out.

Pay range and compensation package

Pay: $25.00-45.00 per Hour. This is a full-time office-based position, available to start immediately.

Benefits: Eligible candidates will qualify for a full suite of comprehensive benefits including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401k plan, performance-based annual bonus, and more upon Permanent placement.
