Role Description:

SZ PM Consultants, Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring that electrical installations, particularly high voltage power systems and control panels for treatment plants, comply with contractual and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of high voltage systems, a meticulous eye for detail, and strong problem-solving skills.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections of electrical installations, focusing on high voltage power systems and control panels for treatment plants, to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist PMs in monitoring General Contractors' adherence to contract terms, electrical drawings, specifications, and relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., DCW, DDOT, DOB).
  • Review, comment on, and approve project submittals to ensure they meet contract documents and industry standards, particularly for high voltage power systems and control panels.
  • Complete additional tasks and assignments as directed by the PM to support project goals and ensure successful project delivery.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical inspections or project management within the construction industry, with a strong focus on high voltage power systems and control panels for treatment plants.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, high voltage installations, control panels, construction contracts, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to interpret and enforce electrical specifications, drawings, and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and project management software.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Professional Electrical Inspector (e.g., NICET, ICC) is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience with high voltage systems and control panels in treatment plant environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant electrical safety standards and building codes.
