Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Inspector to join our team at Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP. As a Construction Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site inspections to monitor contractor work and ensure conformance to design contract plans, specifications, and general permit requirements.
  • Track daily quantities and complete electronic inspection reports.
  • Review payment requisitions and maintain field construction documentation and as-built drawings.
  • Collaborate with regional Public Works and Utility agencies to ensure compliance with regulations.
Requirements
  • 1-10+ years of experience in construction inspection, with a focus on water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate; AA Construction Management or apprenticeship training in Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing preferred.
  • Demonstrated inspection experience in one or more of the following categories: Utilities, Pumping Stations, and Treatment Plants.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Sediment & erosion control certifications (e.g. MDE RPC/SHA Yellow Card).
  • Certification in Temporary Traffic Control (e.g. Maryland SHA TTCMC).
  • OSHA safety training.
  • MARTCP, NICET, WACEL, or NASSCO certifications desirable, including NASSCO-ITCP/CIPP/MR for sanitary sewer pipeline and manhole repairs/rehabilitation.
