Responsibilities of the IT Field Technician:

As the IT Field Technician, you will play a key role in assisting with the design and deployment of various client networks, systems, and data setups. Your duties will cover activities such as client onboarding, server transitions, O365 migrations, resolving system or network issues, aiding with hardware, remote access solutions, as well as system administration and maintenance. It's a fantastic chance to engage with a broad range of tools, technology, and environments.

Preferred Experience of the IT Field Technician:

  • 2+ years of experience in Help Desk, Technical Support, Field Technician, or similar roles
  • Experience in user management via Active Directory, Office 365 Administration, and Exchange mailbox tasks.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring hardware like printers, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Skills in network maintenance, server checks, logs scanning, etc.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, switches, wireless access points, and VLANs.
  • Understanding of Windows Server, workstations, and networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, routing, DNS, DHCP, and more.
  • Experience working with Remote Management Tools like ConnectWise.
  • Comfortable engaging with clients via various channels.
  • Self-assured and adept in client-facing interactions.

Bonus Experience of the IT Field Technician:

  • Relevant certifications such as Watchguard, CompTIA A+, Microsoft, or Cisco.
  • Experience with tools like ConnectWise, IT Glue, Group Policy, Solarwinds, etc.
  • Prior work with an IT managed service provider.
  • Familiarity with LAN/WAN, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, VPN, VoIP, etc.
  • Knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, Dell, Adobe, Cisco Networking Products, and more.
