Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel nationally and internationally to provide technical support for our customers
  • Interact with customers to provide solutions to issues and conduct yearly follow-up calls to check on customer satisfaction
  • Participate in customer visits to provide support for equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair activities
  • Provide training to customers in-house at Maag's facility and at customer locations
  • Represent the company and collect customer feedback to facilitate continuous improvement opportunities
  • Conduct technical discussions regarding machinery repairs, upgrades, and selection to assist customers with solutions to their needs or problems
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent education
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Technical training in electrical systems, logic circuits, electric motors, gears, and mechanical devices
  • Multiple language skills
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a field service role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience using measuring/test equipment, including micrometers and multi-meters
  • Writing progress and expense reports
  • Global travel experience
  • Experience in plastics processing or rotational molding
Work Environment:

Work in this position is both in an office and a factory floor environment, either locally or at a customer site. While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud, and PPE may be required.

Physical Requirements:
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
