**Job Description**

**AECOM Hunt** is seeking an **Accounting Intern** to be based in the **Phoenix, Arizona.**

_This position is expected to begin in July 2024._

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Works under direct supervision, completing assigned tasks in support of the controllership team.

+ May also support the project accounting team.

+ Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.

+ Meets required schedules while producing quality work.

Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelors Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Project Management, or a similar major with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.

+ Candidate must have completed one year of study.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Ability to follow direction and manage specific tasks to completion.

+ Ability to learn new technologies and concepts.

+ Demonstrated leadership abilities.

+ Willing to work on a variety of tasks alone or as part of a team.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Additional Information**

+ Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

+ This position does not offer relocation assistance.

+ Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $16.52/hour - $23.00/hour.
