The client is looking for a Data Governance SME who can act as a Technical Lead for the teams. The team is currently using MS Purview for MDM. The Technical Lead will be providing thought leadership and figure out if this is the correct path for them or not. The focus of the position will be on Data Quality, Data Lineage, Data Governance, etc. Looking for someone who has.


• Data quality lineage (Collibra or Informatica) and data cataloging- large scale integration project in the past.


• Will provide thought leadership and drive team- LEAD role with some hands on- Currently using MS Purview for data cataloging. Not mature in roadmap so this person may help look at some POC on data quality tools, short and long term roadmap for tools. Looking at other data lineage solutions too because they haven't found one. 2-3 years + with Lead experience. Team theyre leading is 5 people.


• Understanding of data in its journey through an ecosystem (Data warehousing, datalakes, etc.)
• Tool experience: Purview is a +


• Retail experience is a huge plus

Experience with MS Purview for MDM Retail experience is a plus

  • 8 or more years of equivalent experience in relevant job or field of technology.

  1. Enabling Data Governance team with Tooling and technology to facilitate managing data assets. Looking for strong leads to form strong technical teams. Run standardized data checks. Building new data management competency within the organization. Helping harmonize and rationalize multiple data sources and map into standardized single version of the truth. Coding and refine designs.
  2. Education or Experience Required: BA in Computer Science or comparable technical experience (10 years)
  3. Technical Lead to help teams to deliver highly performant and scalable data products and platforms to drive consumption of data from our enterprise data ecosystem, while driving data engineering and data management best practices; lead multiple high performing teams of product focused software & data engineers. Embrace and incubate emerging technology and open-source products across all platforms. collaborate with internal teams to find areas of opportunities for automation while partnering with architects, product owners, data professionals, and software & data engineers to drive the implementation of new applications.
  4. Duties & Responsibilities


• Responsible for leading the design, configuration, engineering, integration, and implementation of data management platforms components and services and advise the engineering teams that work across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement and support technical solutions across full-stack development tools and technologies.


• Deliver data-driven solutions that are customer focused, easy to consume and create sustained business value


• Leverage experience to build efficient and scalable data platforms utilizing best in class tools and services


• Deliver end-to-end data solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost effective


• Design and customize complex data models, search queries, dashboards, and promote data-driven solutions in support of our technology strategies


• Provides over sight and accountable for following all compliance, methodology and process standards such as SDLC, Change Management, Agile Methodology and IT Security policies.
