POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Director of Human Resources to cultivate a dynamic and vibrant work environment. Our company is dedicated to fostering a culture that emphasizes the importance of work-life balance, enthusiasm for our work, and community involvement. The selected candidate will contribute to coordinating and assisting in the implementation of initiatives and programs aimed at enriching the employee journey.

This role will be instrumental in helping the Director of Human Resources sustain a workplace where employees are actively involved, appreciated, and nurtured.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Interpersonal abilities vital for fostering effective relationships with management and staff.
  • Strong skills in organization, prioritization, and project management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication capabilities.
  • The ideal candidate will exhibit a positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.

JOB DESCRIPTION DETAIL:

  • Supports the Director of Human Resources in supervising Erie Events' internship program.
  • Collaborates with department heads to create and uphold a welcoming onboarding experience for employees through orientations, on-the-job training, and regular check-ins.
  • Assists the Erie Insurance Arena Food & Beverage Department in recruiting, onboarding, and retaining charitable organization groups.
  • Manages various employee recognition programs at Erie Events.
  • Works with the Director of Human Resources to organize all employee appreciation events, including event execution.
  • Responsible for optimizing our HR software area, UKG Pro, to enhance employee engagement in Erie Events' HRIS system.
  • Contributes to new employee initiatives under the guidance of the Director of Human Resources.
  • Participates in employee investigations and handles labor relations matters as necessary.
  • Facilitates onboarding, coordination, and compliance monitoring with laws and regulations concerning minors.
  • Conducts regular audits of HR files and records to guarantee proper documentation collection and filing.
  • Suggests programs or concepts to the Director of Human Resources that can enhance the employee experience.
  • Acts as a backup to another Human Resources Coordinator in the department and receives training in all functions.
  • Assists in organizing and delivering employee training sessions.
  • Serves as a resource to address any employee inquiries related to HR.
  • Assists employees with accessing the UKG desktop/app and troubleshoots any arising issues.
  • Handles filing tasks as needed.
  • Ability to maintain utmost confidentiality at all times.
  • Supports various projects as required.
  • Carries out other assigned duties.
