Adecco is currently partnering with a local organization to identify a qualified Human Resources Specialist for an exciting opportunity.

Compensation: $35.00 – 45.00/HR (Based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Day Shift

Duration: 12 months (potential for temp-to-perm)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Human Resources Specialist will collaborate closely with the Human Resources and Union Relations Team, Operations Management, and the represented hourly workforce to fulfill organizational goals. This position will assist with hourly recruitment (both internal and external), onboarding processes, conflict resolution, attendance tracking, grievance management, and other HR functions to support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Employment Leader with daily HR operations, including facilitating internal team member movements, external job postings, offer letters, data modifications, and job transfers.
  • Oversee and manage leave administration for hourly production staff, including Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), personal leaves, and employee absences affecting operations.
  • Provide guidance on contractual matters and policies to establish best practices for the organization.
  • Support employee investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions to ensure the smooth continuity of daily operations.
  • Aid HR Leaders in administering grievance procedures and addressing issues arising from collective bargaining agreements.
  • Collect HR metrics from various sources, including HRIS, payroll systems, and recruitment and leave tracking platforms for data-driven decision-making.
  • Organize content for HR meetings, site communications, and overall departmental organization to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Perform any additional tasks to support the efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong HR expertise, particularly in managing short-term leaves and investigations, with excellent communication skills for handling sensitive matters.
  • ***** Labor Relations experience is essential in this role within a Union environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Self-driven, detail-oriented, and equipped with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a unionized environment.
  • Background in Human Resources.
  • Familiarity with Kronos (timekeeping) and Workday (HRIS).

Compensation Details: $35.00 to $45.00 per hour
