About the Job: Are you a Healthcare Planner looking to join a dynamic team? Hoefer Welker is currently seeking an experienced Healthcare Planner who will be responsible for programming, master planning, design, and clinical planning to ensure excellence in design and project delivery.



Essential Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate expertise in clinical processes, guidelines, and best practices to lead hospital and clinic design and planning.
  • Stay updated on healthcare delivery trends, innovative strategic planning, and emerging medical technologies.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish healthcare facility goals and objectives.
  • Create functional space programs based on patient volume and facility needs.
  • Lead healthcare planning from Concept through Design Development and provide technical solutions for quality control.
  • Work closely with architects, interior designers, and project managers to ensure a cohesive design.
  • Guide junior planners and support staff and actively contribute to firm-wide healthcare practices.
  • Participate in marketing proposals and interviews.


Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture with years of healthcare planning experience.
  • Experience in leading architectural programming and healthcare planning processes.
Certifications/Licenses/Registrations:
  • Architectural Registration required. Additional certifications preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Revit, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Passion for design and planning of healthcare facilities.
  • Effective leadership, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to adapt content to meet audience needs.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, use hands, and lift objects.
  • Occasionally sit, climb, balance, and must have good vision.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
Work Environment:
  • May be exposed to varying conditions at office and construction sites.
  • Occasional loud noise levels at job sites.
