About the Role:

The Route Sales Trainee (RST) position is all about learning the ropes to order, sell, deliver, and merchandise a variety of fresh baked products. Your journey will involve building strong relationships with customers, managers, and other staff members under the guidance of a seasoned company route trainer.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Utilize internal sales data and company marketing plans for customer growth
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships for effective sales communication
  • Order products using an advanced online planner for freshness
  • Enhance sales through shelf space expansion and in-store promotions
  • Follow company route structure and service times diligently
  • Adhere to retailer/account procedures and fresh market policies
  • Perform route settlement tasks and maintain accurate inventory
  • Introduce new products following retailer guidelines
  • Review performance indicators regularly
  • Follow customer shelf schematic/plan-o-gram

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in retail or DSD sales
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain DOT medical certification
  • Fleet insurance Guidelines compliance
  • Good record of vehicle inspections and maintenance
