Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Route Sales Representative to join our team at Herr Foods Inc. in New Cumberland, PA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Delivery: Safely drive a step-van delivery truck to sell, deliver, and merchandise Herr's brand snack foods to grocery retail and independent chain stores.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to a variety of customers, including grocery store managers and owners.
  • Inventory Management: Manage daily accuracy of product inventory and rotate and provide credit to accounts for stale or damaged items.
  • Order Processing: Process orders by entering product codes into hand-held computers and collect cash from customers and accurately process associated invoices.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Experience: Previous sales and delivery experience preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and persuasion skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong organizational skills.
  • Physical Demands: Constantly reaching, frequently sitting, standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, driving, and lifting up to 32 pounds.
