This position is pivotal in designing and implementing comprehensive enrollment, service, and growth initiatives tailored for each client within their designated portfolio.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Gain a thorough understanding of Pre and Post-Sale Client Management, Education, Growth, and Retention strategies for the core market.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with brokers, enrollment firms, and clients within the assigned business segment.
  • Learn to create and execute customized business plans for clients.
  • Drive profitable growth within the existing client base.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to enhance pre-renewal communications, aiming to boost reenrollment rates and minimize distractions during critical renewal periods.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Unum's enrollment capabilities and effectively communicate enrollment strategies to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Implementation Manager to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Participate in local benefit fairs alongside the Field Office team.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with enrollment firms for larger client accounts.
  • Partner with Sales Representatives and Marketing Consultants to execute strategic initiatives effectively.
  • Collaborate with key Home Office departments to provide comprehensive service to clients.
  • In partnership with sales representatives, deliver detailed updates on client status, broker insights, and other critical action items impacting sales performance.
  • Learn to develop and present renewal proposals that enhance client retention and profitability.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
  • Experience in the employee benefits sector is preferred.
  • Must obtain a license to sell insurance in the relevant states within 90 days of hire or promotion.
  • Demonstrated growth and sales orientation.
  • Familiarity with Unum's product and service offerings is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong technical skills with the ability to leverage technology and systems effectively.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and presentation abilities.
  • Proven strategic thinking coupled with tactical execution skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and resolution capabilities.
