Job Description

Role Description

This is a full-time position for an Accounting Manager. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with the Finance team and report directly to the CFO.

The accounting manager is accountable for overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets. This role involves developing and maintaining accounting procedures, practices, and principles, as well as preparing and reviewing ledger entry reconciliations and the general ledger system.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and supervising the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, and fixed asset activity
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data for the production of financial reports and statements
  • Assisting in the month-end close process
  • Participating in the production of financial reports and statements
  • Establishing and enforcing appropriate accounting methods, policies, and principles
  • Providing recommendations to enhance systems, controls, and procedures, as well as initiating corrective actions

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Capability to lead and supervise
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting databases
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Preferred CPA or CMA designation
  • Experience in QuickBooks is a plus

This role may involve duties not outlined in this description. Senior Executives may assign additional tasks as necessary. L.A. Insurance reserves the right to update this job description as required.
