Eliot's Juvenile Justice Program - Youth Advocate Coordinator
Eliot's program for court-involved youth aged 13 to 21 is looking for a Youth Advocate Coordinator. Join us in providing a structured environment that supports juvenile offenders in their rehabilitation journey.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Tasks include walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Required to operate a motor vehicle when necessary.
- Flexibility in work schedule to meet program needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficiency in Crisis Prevention Intervention techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily activities for staff and youth according to program and regulatory guidelines.
- Assist in creating and implementing Individual Service Plans.
- Foster teamwork among staff and youth.
- Help youth identify interests and goals.
- Maintain a positive program environment.
- Attend meetings and facilitate team sessions.
- Supervise and document staff activities.
- Ensure resident safety during transportation and within the program.
- Act as an advocate and mentor for youth.
- Oversee program security measures.
- Assist in crisis management and staff training.
- Participate in staff recruitment and training.
- Support schedule development and ensure timely documentation.
- Perform other relevant duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field required.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid MA state driver's license.
- Supervisory background is beneficial.
Schedule:
Sunday-Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday rotations available with various shift timings.
Pay Rate:
$20.58 per hour
