Job Title: Receptionist
Location: Carpinteria, CA, 93013
Shift: 1st shift -- 8 am - 5 pm (Monday to Friday)
Pay Rate: $20/hr

Job Description

  • Answer and direct incoming calls, taking and delivering messages when necessary.
  • Greets and directs visitors.
  • Processes all incoming and outgoing mail and faxes, including distribution of proper postage, etc.
  • Prepares customs documents for inter-company shipments.
  • Scans and updates work copies of orders to K: drive.
  • Maintains Capacity Planning spreadsheet and uploads to K: drive.
  • Separates invoices and forwards copies as required.
  • Clerical duties such as typing correspondence and documents, filing work orders, purchase orders, and Certificates of Analysis.
  • Maintains and updates branch calendar.
  • Orders office supplies.
  • Review the Visitor Log Book at the end of every business day to ensure all visitors have signed out.
  • Supports production projects by labeling bags, envelopes, or cartons at the desk when time allows.
  • Reports security and/or health and safety infractions or potential infractions in a timely manner and to the appropriate contacts.
  • Performs other related tasks that his/her supervisor deems necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
