We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team at the Channel Islands YMCA. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including collections, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable records, including customer payments, invoices, and credit memos.
- Utilize various communication channels to follow up with customers and collect outstanding payments in a timely and professional manner.
- Process and reconcile third-party payments, ensuring accurate application of payments to customer accounts.
- Monitor customer accounts to prevent delinquencies and ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Generate and analyze financial reports related to accounts receivable, including aging reports, cash collections, and bad debt analysis.
- Collaborate with branch staff to ensure accurate and timely billing information and collect past due balances.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, preparing reconciliations and reports for management and stakeholders.
- Post customer payments by recording cash, check, and credit card transactions.
- Communicate with collection agencies and chargeback centers to resolve disputes and ensure accuracy.
- File and maintain accurate documentation and records related to accounts receivable.
- Work with customers and staff to resolve account discrepancies and ensure accurate and timely resolution.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in accounting or finance preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in accounts receivable or financial collections.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
